How to Remove

REMOVE SLOWLY. PROTECT WHAT’S UNDERNEATH.

A gentle removal takes time. Soften the adhesive first, work from the edges, and never pull a bonded press-on away from the natural nail.

Removal method and timing vary by adhesive. Follow the instructions included with your specific Selviare set or remover.

Gentle Removal

Healthy removal begins with patience.

Never pull, peel, or pry a bonded press-on from the natural nail. Soften the adhesive, work slowly, and repeat the soaking step whenever resistance remains.

Removal Steps

Let the adhesive release slowly.

Prepare First

Gather what you need.

Prepare a bowl of comfortably warm soapy water, cuticle oil or another skin-safe oil, a towel, and a wooden cuticle stick or similar gentle tool.

If the glue bond is especially firm, have a compatible acetone-based nail remover available and follow its label directions.

Gentle reminder Work in a well-ventilated area and keep remover away from heat, flames, children, and pets.

Soften the Bond

Soak before you lift.

Soak the fingertips in comfortably warm soapy water with a small amount of oil. Allow time for the water and oil to reach the edges of the press-ons and begin softening the adhesive.

Gentle reminder The nail should begin to feel less firmly attached before you try to move it.

Test, Don’t Force

Check one edge gently.

After soaking, test a naturally lifted side edge with a wooden cuticle stick. Use only light pressure and keep the tool above the natural nail plate.

If the press-on does not move easily, stop and soak again.

Gentle reminder Resistance is a sign that the adhesive needs more time—not more force.

Work Around the Edges

Loosen a little at a time.

Add a little more oil around the loosened edge and move slowly around the sides. Continue soaking between attempts until the press-on releases without pulling.

Gentle reminder Do not slide a sharp or metal tool underneath the nail.

For Stubborn Glue

Use compatible remover as directed.

If warm water and oil do not loosen a strong glue bond, use an acetone-based nail remover that is compatible with the adhesive and follow the remover instructions.

Limit contact to the fingertips where possible, avoid irritated or broken skin, and wash the hands after removal.

Gentle reminder Acetone may affect the finish or reusability of the press-on nail.

Finish Gently

Clean, wash, and moisturize.

Once the press-ons have released, remove remaining adhesive using the method recommended for the glue. Wash the hands, dry them carefully, and apply hand cream and cuticle oil.

Gentle reminder Avoid aggressive scraping, peeling, or heavy buffing of the natural nail.

After Removal

Give your natural nails a quiet reset.

Removal is complete only after the remaining adhesive has been handled gently and the natural nails feel clean and comfortable.

Remove residue gently

Use the method recommended for the adhesive. Do not scrape aggressively or thin the natural nail.

Restore moisture

Wash away remover residue, then apply hand cream and cuticle oil to the nails and surrounding skin.

Pause before the next set

If the nails feel thin, sore, irritated, or damaged, wait until they feel healthy before applying another set.

Take It Slowly

Resistance means the adhesive needs more time.
